Day 19 Pounding Pavement & Tea Leaves

Sungui Palas Boh Tea Plantation

Today was meant to be a relaxing day, no hiking, no muscle strain, just sitting and sipping, and taking in the view. After breakfast I caught the 10:30 local bus up to Brinchang, where the Sungai Palas Boh tea plantation is located. It was about a 20 - 30 minute bus ride; pretty slow goin on those steep hills and curves. After getting off by the vegetable stand, I had to walk on a paved road for about 2 - 3 kilometers until reaching the tea factory / café; so I guess my relaxing day will have to be put off until tomorrow. The upside was that it was a very beautiful walk, and the tea plantation had a really nice view from their deck, which was attached to a restaurant. You could order hot and cold teas, lunch and pastries.
